Changelog

What's new in KleioBase.

A record of every release - the features, fixes, and changes that ship as we build an AI research companion for historical documents.

v0.13.0

A blog, a documentation center, and a public changelog - plus a site-wide SEO pass.

Added

  • Blog at /blog - research guides, how-tos, and product updates, with category sections, featured posts, sharing, and an RSS feed.
  • Documentation at /docs - guides for uploading records, building your knowledge base, finding duplicates, the Research Companion, importing and exporting, and plans and billing.
  • Changelog at /changelog - the full release history of KleioBase in one place.
  • Cross-links between the blog, documentation, and product pages so it is easier to move from a guide to the feature it describes.

Changed

  • Improved how KleioBase pages look when shared on social media and in search results, with clearer titles and link previews.

Fixed

  • Corrected the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link label in the footer.

v0.12.0

Show

Research intelligence - automatic insights, gap detection, and a Research Notes widget that surfaces what to look at next.

Added

  • Research Notes widget and a dedicated Insights page. KleioBase now studies your knowledge base in the background and surfaces findings - completeness gaps, missing events, and timeline inconsistencies - so you always have a next thing to investigate.
  • Cold-start suggestions for new accounts. Small knowledge bases get tailored onboarding suggestions instead of an empty insights panel.
  • Research Companion can work with findings. Escalate any insight straight into a Companion conversation as an attachment, and the assistant can list, open, resolve, and dismiss findings for you.

Changed

  • Findings have a lifecycle. Insights are paced so you are not overwhelmed, can be resolved or archived, and stay dismissed once you dismiss them.

Fixed

  • Fewer false-positive matches around community figures. Witnesses who appear across many unrelated families (clergy, registrars) no longer generate noisy match suggestions.

v0.11.0

Show

Bulk trash cleanup, richer timeline links, grouped conflicts, and privacy-friendly analytics.

Added

  • Bulk permanent delete in the Knowledge Base trash. Select multiple records or profiles and clear them in one action.
  • Record links on the timeline. "Referenced in" entries now link straight to the underlying record.
  • Grouped marriage conflicts. The Conflicts page now groups mismatched marriage values together so they are easier to resolve.

Changed

  • Cookieless analytics for visitors who decline cookies. People who reject tracking are still counted anonymously, with nothing stored on their device.

v0.10.0

Show

Notifications, automatic insight detection, gap and connection discovery, and a root-person view of your tree.

Added

  • Notifications - a bell in the header with a dropdown, driven by record processing, new matches, and plan-limit events.
  • Insight detection engine that algorithmically studies your knowledge base for things worth following up on.
  • Gap detection that flags missing events and timeline holes in a person's life.
  • AI connection discovery that proposes likely relationships across your records.
  • Root person and reachability - set a "home" person, and KleioBase shows which profiles are disconnected from your main tree.
  • Linked-profiles view that groups people by connected branch.

Fixed

  • Improved the accuracy and reliability of automatic profile matching.

v0.9.0

Show

External uptime monitoring for the service.

Added

  • Uptime monitoring so outages are detected and surfaced quickly, backed by an incident-response process.

v0.8.0

Show

Profile pictures, an Associates section, and batch ZIP uploads.

Added

  • Profile pictures for person profiles.
  • Associates section on the profile page for non-family connections (witnesses, neighbors, and the like).
  • ZIP batch upload in the upload workspace, so you can add many records at once.

Fixed

  • Maiden surnames are no longer copied into the last-name field when confirming a record.
  • Manual family connections no longer fragment children or hide a parent's spouse.
  • Merging no longer omits relatives whose relationship is labeled differently.
  • Profile pages no longer show filenames or a stray "née" for maiden-only names.

v0.7.1

Show

New accounts are added to our mailing audience on signup so we can keep beta testers in the loop.

Added

  • Contact creation on signup. New accounts are added to our email audience when they sign up, so beta testers receive product updates and announcements.

v0.7.0

Show

GEDCOM import and export, AI-written biographies, shareable profile pages, and a smarter Research Companion.

Added

  • GEDCOM and GEDZIP import and export, so you can bring an existing tree into KleioBase or take your data elsewhere, with async email delivery of large exports.
  • AI-generated biography narratives for person profiles.
  • Shareable public profile biography links.
  • Web search and page fetching in the Research Companion, so it can pull in outside context.
  • Research Companion agent actions - the assistant can make knowledge-base edits for you (with confirmation).
  • Pagination on the knowledge base people and records grids.

Fixed

  • GEDCOM import no longer stores raw day-first dates incorrectly.

v0.6.0

Show

Print-friendly views and live narrative updates as you edit records.

Added

  • Print-friendly views across key surfaces (profiles and records).
  • Dynamic record narratives that update live as you edit extracted fields.

Fixed

  • Burial details are no longer duplicated in death-record extraction.
  • Parents of a record's subject default to "married" rather than "partners."
  • Renaming from the tab and record context menus works correctly.

v0.1.1

Show

The core application comes together - upload, transcription, the knowledge base, profile matching, and the Research Companion.
